interstate commerce

i am the owner of a resturant and in situated on a lake in a municipality. i am a sea plane pilot, i organize fly ins

at my establishment. the municipality intended on passsing an ordinace, to stop all sea plane activity on this lake. this inturn will effect my profits. does this ordinance affect intra or inter state commerce? i do have many people who flyin from out of state and stay the weekend, as well as those who live within the state.

You ned to see an attorney on this one. As much as i like working with lawguru.com, this is a zoning issue, an air rights issue, a possible governmental taking issue... its far too heavy for on-line free help!

This is a very interesting question. The answer, assuming the question of whether it has an impact on interstate commerce is relevant, depends upon several factors beyond the scope of your questions. Are you near the state border? Do sea planes have the range of reaching the state border? Has anyone ever arrived at your establishment on a sea plane from out of state? This question implicates many other potential issues as well. For instance, are there any other people who use the lake in this manner or are you the only one?
