Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
Judgement after death of lawyer
I was involved in a lawsuit a few years ago. Since that time, we have been making payments to pay off our lawyer, with his agreement. He passed away a short time ago, and his sons are now suing us for the entire amount of money owed to there father.
What can we do ???? As we do not have that kind of money to pay them in one lump some, and what will a judgement aganist us mean ?????

Re: Judgement after death of lawyer
By showing your payment history you should be able to establish your arrangement with your lawyer, and that the arrangement should continue.
You need legal representation. Contact a lawyer. If you don't know any, contact your local Bar Association. A Judgment against you could cause you a myriad of credit problems.
