Storekeepers have the right to search your bags if they believe that you may have shoplifted. They may not detain you without justification. If you would have refused to have your bags checked, they could have just called the police, and had the police go through your bags. The police would have confirmed that the store had cause to be suspicious. Unless the store targeted you, because of some personal protected characteristic, and not because of your suspicious actions, then you do not likely have any recourse or claim.
