Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
letter that i received from court
I have received a letter from the hillsborough county fl civil division titled ''notice of intent to dismiss for lack of prosecution on courts own motion''. I have been fighting a balance owed for years with a creditor. I dont understand the letter. It states if good cause why action should remain pending is files 5 days before the court date a hearing will be held? Am I suppse to file something with the court defending the creditors claim?

If you are the defendant, then this is good news. If you are the plaintiff, it's not and you need to consult a local attorney to figure out how to keep the case on the court's docket.
