Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
I have a medical condition that requires me to see my doctor every month, for medication refills and to montior my condition.it is not unusal for me to see the physican asst, unless there was a flareup, I have seen this doctor or his asst, every month for this condition since 1992.
Well a few months back the doctor hired a new asst, and I saw him 8 weeks ago for the first time, at that time he told me he would pefer for me to see the doctor because my case was to complacted and he was not comfortable perscribing the dose of medication that the doctor has me on. My August vist I saw the doctor,Yesterday I went for my Sept visit, and due to a mix up I was placed with the Asst, well the minute he sae me he started hollering at me , saying I told you i didn't want to see you, he told me that the next time he see's me he is going to drop me as a patient, he made me feel like a charity case, I left the office in tears.
my question is can he do this to me? can he holler at me and threaten me? if not what can i do about it?

His conduct was unprofessional, but other than that, anyone can holler at you and threaten to drop your case. You could complain to his employer, but I doubt his licensing board would care. This is not a legal issue.
