Does an officer have the right to search your body without asking for your consent

An officer may conduct a simple "pat down" on the outside of your clothing based upon reasonable suspicion that the person has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime and has a reasonable belief that the person "may be armed and presently dangerous."
