if a person do not understand english and sign a contract in english for something they did not know about are they acountable for it

That's an interesting question. A person should not sign a contract if they cannot understand the language in which it is written. Still, there may be ways to challenge the validity of the contract. Please do not hesitate to contact me or another attorney.
