Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
Is a police officer allowed to search my vehicle with probable cause, but without a warrant, my permission, or even my knowledge? The violation was petty theft and they thought there was merchandise inside the vehicle. I was also not even present while they conducted this search of my vehicle. Two of my friends were present in my backseat however.

Yes, a police officer with probable cause can search your vehicle. There is no requirement that you be there or give permission.
