Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

Requesting clarification of terms (words) used in paperwork on a motion of civil contempt paperwork.

1. "if the other party is found to be in civil contempt" there are orders for a "compensatory" or "coercive" fine. What are those and are they fines paid to the court?

2. What does it mean when "issuing a writ of bodily attachment if the other party fails to appear at the hearing set on this motion" mean?

3. What is the difference between "enforcing or compelling compliance with the prior order or judgment" and "awarding a monetary judgment" are they not the same?

Your assistance for these clarifications would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I would suggest you consult with an attorney and bring them this motion to review. You can also check a legal dictionary for the definition of words like compensatory, coercive, writ of bodily attachment, on-line or at your local law library. As far as #3, compelling you to comply with a prior order or judgment from the court is not necessarily the same as awarding a monetary judgment on the basis of the motion of civil contempt.
