Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
I'm about to settle on a case and my lawyer is taking a third which is fine but he also wants me to pay for all the paper that his firm has used its like $350+. Is that legal to make me pay for the paper and faxes they have done? Dosent that fall under the 1/3 their getting???

The answer is contained in the written retainer agreement with the attorney. It is completely legal and quite common for attorneys to take 1/3 as their fee plus expenses (inc. copies, faxes, mail) which come out of your 2/3. However, the agreement must be in writing, and you should receive an accounting to know where every dime goes.
