Small Claims turned to subpoena

I use to live in michigan and had landlord tennant issue that resulted in a judgement against myself I now reside in florida and am a resident of the state and just recieved a subpoena for a civil court appearance in michigan and have no way of getting there and can not afford it what do i do?

Is this a supboena to appear in a case filed against you (i.e., the case involving the judgment) or a new and seperate case in whgich you are not involved. Generally, a person cannot be subpoened to appear in another state to be a witness in a case. You may wish to contact the person that sent you the notice.
