Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

If I was told I was laid off my job due to the lack of work and was then informed by people still employeed by the company that they are telling everyone in the company that I was fired for stealing when that was not what they told me is there a way for me to file a defamation case against them, and pain and suffering for me not being able to take care of my four kids when they never addressed their suspicions.

if you find that company is hiring other employees then you can file a case against the company and get your job back.

About defamation, if your co-workers can give evidence only then it is possible.
