Wage Garnishment

I got a call today from a firm trying to serve me for a $20K credit card debt. I do not qualify for a payment plan as I do not have enough surplus at the end of the month. They say the will take 1/2 of the total if I can get it to them by Monday (yeah right) I believe they can take me to court and file a judgement - my question is can they garnish my wages if I am a single mother getting no child support? Jacksonville, FL

Probably cannot garnish you. Who is the collection company, is it the actual credit card company or some company that bought the bad debt? I might be able to get you out of the debt entirely depending upon the circumstnaces. Call or e-mail me.
