Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
If I was walking my dog (on leash) and someone in my neighborhood failed to close their gate prior to letting their dog outside, in turn allowing it to come out in to the road where I am walking, causing my dog to chase it back into their yard and ultimately causing a fracture /broken leg requiring surgery on said unleashed dog. Do I, as a person walking a leashed dog, have a legal responsibility to pay out of pocket for damages incurred on the loose dog??

Maybe. How did your dog chase it back if you had him/her leashed?
