Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida
Wedding Day Trauma
I dont know what I need to do.
Two weeks ago I got married. My hairstylist never showed up, but I had already paid her. First it all started when she charged $560 for hair and makeup for 6 people, when I had never had agreed to that. When I complaint she returned me the money. But this had caused me 3 bounce checks. Not only did I pay the bank $29 per bounce check, but I had to pay $25 to the people that had already deposited the checks. And after all of these, the day of my wedding, the hairstylist called me to ask for my address, and she tells me that day that she was hesitant all these time because for her it wasn't worth it to go to my house to do just my hair for a $100. My appointment with her was at 3pm, but she never showed up. I was desperate, because no one gives an appointment the same day. I called her back after my honeymoon and she return the money, but I people advice me to take her to the small claim court and sue her for pain and suffering. Do you thing I have a case? What do you advice me to do?
Please help.

Re: Wedding Day Trauma
It sounds as though she broke her agreement with you at least twice. If she didn't want the job and didn't intend to do it she should not have accepted your money.
Small claims court is just the place to resolve a dispute such as you describe.
