Wondering about prejudice
Is it legal to have prejudice jokes or comments online? If it is what options do you have if it offends you?

Re: Wondering about prejudice
If these things are online at work, then it could create a hostile work environment. You should follow the steps in your policy manual (if there is one) on reporting harassment/discrimination. If there is no manual, report the problem to a trusted supervisor or HR and ask them to investigate and take action. If the problem is not solved, you could file a complaint for free with the EEOC, the state human rights commission or the county human rights commission where you work.
If you mean that these things are simply out there on the internet, then it is difficult if not impossible to do anything about it. Of course, just like changing the channel on TV if you don't want to watch a show, you do not have to view offensive things online.
If it's a work matter, feel free to call for a free consultation to review the matter and your options.
Good luck.
