Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida
I was recently threatened with a harassment lawsuit, because I was posting pictures and blogs on a public website. I never used the persons real name, just the name they had made up to use online. All of the information and pictures I used were obtained from public websites, and no "hacking" was ever involved. It is my understanding that as long as I don't threaten bodily harm on the person (which I didn't), or use their "real" name (which I didn't), that there isn't much they can do to me. Is this true?

If you don't own the IP rights to the pictures or the blog posts, you should not copy it onto another site without the owner's permission. Consult with an attorney for legal advice about your liability for these actions. Regards,
