Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida
redirecting a domain I own
I work for a medical clinic, last year I was tasked with creating a website for the company. In doing so I found a competitor Doctor who didn't own his name or clinics name. I personnelly purchased both and then created a prototype website for him and sent him a letter requesting the job of creating him a website like the prototype to which he did not respond. after a couple of months of no reponse I redirected both domains to my employers website (His Competitor) and today he called me and wants me to take the redirect down(indicating it was being deceptive) I reoffered to create a website for him (very cheaply) and he said he was not sure he wanted to do that but insisted I disconnect the link.
Question: If I own the domain names can't I direct them anywhere I want? even if its his businesses name which he obviously could have purchased himself anytime in the last fifteen years.

You may very well be violating state law, but I'd need to know more. It wouldn't take long to find out, maybe 30 minutes.
