Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida
My son is an exchange student in Orlando Florida staying with a family there and the whole inside house is covered in cameras except his room and the bathroom (that we know of) The cameras are clearly visible, but he feels monitored. Is that legal if he has not consented to it? Thank you

At least he is on notice, but he has no expectation of privacy in the common areas. This is no different than if he was staying in an apartment or hotel. There, cameras are usually in all common areas (lobbies, kitchens, hallways, laundry rooms, parking lots, game rooms, pool areas, yards, elevators, etc.).
