Can a lawyer that is employed by the Fl dept of professional regulation represent a family member(plaintiff) as a personal attorney? Or are they restricted by conflict of intrest?

Re: Conflict of intrest State of Florida
Many state lawyers (such as prosecutors) are forbidden from practicing law on a private basis, but I don't know of any law that prevents Department of Business and Professional Regulation lawyers from practicing privately. You should call their legal department to be sure. There may be some internal rule in the Department which prevents it.
I don't know what the conflict would be, unless the lawyer was suing the State of Florida.
