Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Florida

''Informative Info''

Why and how is law enforcenment allowed to use video and audio surveillance? How does it relate to constitutional law regarding the first and fourth amadments? What are the details that can be revealed when law enforcement uses video surveillance? When can video surveillance be a questionable factor in a case. Besides the court who can decide if law enforcement has over-stepped there ground when surveillancing someone?

Re: ''Informative Info''

Except within one's home, one has no expectation of privacy under current law, and may be video/audio tape-recorded by law enforcement or anyone else without restriction. The rules are different within the walls of a private home, but anything which goes on in public is available to the public. Matters which should remain private, then, must be dealt with carefully outside the home. As a side note, the average American in a large city can expect to be on camera somewhere these days about 4 hours out of every 8.
