Loss of Civil Rights in Plea Agreement
In Jan. 2002 I took a plea bargin to nolo prosequi 2 counts of forgery for guilty plea to 1 count of uttering a false or forged Instrument with intent to defraud. My public defender did not inform me that i would lose my civil rights and neither did the judge. Had I know this was part of my punishment I would have not taken the plea. My ultimate goal is to regain my civil rights. Is there a way to set aside the plea and ask for at the very least a withholding of adjudification of guilt so I can have my civil rights? Or an order that my civil rights be restored. I would even be willing to be re tried.

You would need to file a motion for ineffective assistance of counsel under rule 3.850.
They are tough and it is unlikely to be granted. You should see a crimminal lawyer to understand the process.
