right to privacy in prostitution case

In 1995 a florida woman, formerly a prostitue sues the state of florida saying that the laws that prohibt her from plying her chosen profession are unconstitutional, she filed her claim based on Roe v. Wade, naming herself Jane Roe II v. Robert Butterworth in the court papers. I am looking for the entire opinion published at 958 F.Supp.1569 (S.D. Fla 1997) or(D.C. Docket No. 94-8681- CIV - JAG) I only have a portion of the text from my Ohio law textbook and I would like to do a presentation on the whole case.

Re: right to privacy in prostitution case

The term "F. Supp" refers to a series of books called the Federal Supplement, which contain most of the published opinions of the various Federal District Courts. The citation you provided means that the case is published in volume 958 of F.Supp. and that the opinion begins on page 1569.

You should be able to go to any public law library or the library of any law school and ask the librarian where you can find this volume. Call ahead to make sure you know when the library is open and, in the case of a law school library, whether the general public is allowed in.

You should also ask when the library is open. The budget crisis in Florida has seriously curtailed the hours at most public law libraries and most law schools have just reduced their library hours for the summer recess. If you don't call ahead, you may find the library closed when you get there.
