Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Florida
Taking another state judge to court
The state of IL has been making judgements against my son and I in more than one case. (Same judge) Which court would I have to sue the judge in? I live in Sarasota county. Will orders remain effective while we are in court?

Re: Taking another state judge to court
Judges are immune from liability for the actions they take in the performance of their duties. Unless something *very* weird is going on here (for example, these judgments were entered even though no one had sued you in his court), a lawsuit against the judge will get you nowhere.
If you were sued and disagree with the judgments there are other ways to vindicate your rights. Suing the judge for doing his job, even if he's doing it poorly, is a non-starter.
