AC Service call

The AC was not working properly in one of my rental homes so I called a company to look at it. Without asking me or calling me with a quote their tech changed a 4 month old thermostat and I recieved a bill for $300.00. I would not have authorized this! The thermostat wasn't the problem I had another company diagnose the problem as a bad breaker ($100.00) and repair it.

Get a refund. If you did not authgorize the repair, they cannot charge you for it. You will owe a service charge and, by the way, the thermostat could still have been bad.
