code violation - notice re
requirements - If a code violation is filed and the owner is not notified of an ongoing case against him - what relief can he seek when it is later elevated to a violation of a municipal ordinance?

Try to have it corrected ASAP with someone who is licensed to correct the violation. Advise the County you are not ignoring the violation and want to resolve the matter. You then may file an action or claim reimbursement from whomever caused the violation (assuming that it is not you).
