Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida
Construction contract
I had a fixed price contract with a client where we went over budget due to alot of changes. In an oral agreement we decided to handle all changes by invoicing as the job progressed in lieu of written change orders. Now the client doesnt want to pay the final draw, and actualy claims I owe them over $80,000.00. Do I have any hope that the invoices will hold up as a legal change order.

Possibly. It wiil depend on the terms of the contract and the course of dealing between the parties, among other factors.
