Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida
construction contract
A contract was signed by our condo director for $18,000.00 of work to be done. A $6,000.00 deposit was given. The wording in the contract read ''to be done in a due and timely manner.'' It has be almost seven months since the contract was signed and nothing has been done. my question is, what should be a time limit on a ''due and timely manner?''
Thank you

Re: construction contract
Good question, the contract is vague. I recommend sending a leter to the contractor demanding adequate assurances that the contractor still intends to honor the contract and to provide a time line as to when the contractor will be complete.
Good luck,
