Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida
Contractor caused serious damage to tiles
I agreed to give $300 to contractor to seal grout in our house in Florida. Contractor used wrong sealer and applies to all ceramic tile and not just grout as is required- causing surface prblems over all area. After a couple tries to correct problem by contractor, finish is still defective. I have contracted another company to clean surface properly 9do not original co. back in our house) and told original company that I would remit any left over funds to them - to show good faith.
Am I within my legal right concerning my oblgations re payment - already paid about $7000 for tile installation.

Probably but we'd need to see your contract to know for certain.
