Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida
Customer is demanding a refund of 75% of money given back due to a one month delay on a kitchen project due to changes and situations out of our control. We cannot afford to give them back 75% of the money back, but relatioship is broken. What are both customer's and contractor's rights? Which way to go to avoid legal fees and problems for both parties? what about if they are not open to negotiate?

It truly depends on the contract between the parties when it comes to construction litigation. There are a lot of senarios that affect your issue; but, it depends on the terms of your agreement as to how they are applied. Best way to avoid legal fees is to come to some resolution that is acceptable to both parties. Unfortunately if one party is not open to negotiate, then mediation or legal action maybe the next step.
