Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida
General Contractor for remodel not doing job
We paid a 1/3 deposit on signing agrrement with general contractor for home addition/remodel in Aug 2007. To date, he has been out here about 4 times and done little work so of which did not pass county inspection twice. I have paid for misc items during this time, ie. permits which he claims he will reimburse. Now he wants us to pay addtional $2000 for the concrete. All he has done for the intial money paid is lay plumbing lines and dug footers for new addition. What type of lawyer should I contact to handle additional issues with this general contractor?
