Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida
Mechanic's Lein
We are a registered and licensed landscape architectural firm located in Florida, and we have completed drawings for a client in a separate county in Florida. The drawings were for a 5-acre lot, which was being developed for townhomes. The invoice for over $6,000 was submitted and as yet (60 days) has not been paid. We feel we may need to file a mechanic's lein before 90 days has passed. How do we go about doing this?
