Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida
permits
me and my husband want to remodel our kitchen but can't afford a contractor so we are doing it ourselves do we need a permit and what about having it inspected we are putting in new windows and floors, cabinets we everything but not re doing electrical and if we do the electrical does that change the answer.

Re: permits
Most cities or counties would require a permit. Call the local building department and tell them you want to apply for an "Owner Builder Permit" and to let you know everthing that you will need to bring with you so that you can fill everything out. You may need a copy of your deed, a check, to have it notarized. etc...
