Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida

pool remodeling job

We hired a pool company to remodel our pool and pool deck. The work was going well, but they did have enough materials to finish the job, so we were told they would order more and it would be finished soon. That was 12 weeks ago. The Contractor gives us the excuse that the MFG of the pavers is no longer making the size we ordered and has no idea when or if they will ever make them again. We have a mess and I don't know what to do. Help!

Re: pool remodeling job

(This is not legal advice)

Do you have a contract or a signed proposal of some kind with the poll company spelling out the terms of your agreement? If so, you can look to that document as it may spell out some of your rights and remedies in the event of breach. In any event, it sounds like you likely have a valid cause of action for breach of contract (written or oral).
