Legal Question in Construction Law in Florida

service

We are in the air conditioning industry in florida and we gave our customer service which now she does not want to pay for the part & the gas that we just installed. What can I do...can I go and remove the part? What action can I take?

Re: service

If you want to go and remove the parts then just be prepared to stand before a grand jury just like OJ Simpson is doing right now for going back to get his own belongings back. "Self Help" is illegal in this state. Send a demand letter for payment, and if that does not work then you can file a lawsuit. You may also have lien rights which expire unless a lien is recorded with 90 days of the last furnishing of labor services, or material to the project. If you want you may find helpful forms on our website to help you collect, but make sure you know how to use them and you fill them out properly. Good luck
