Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
I have an old $9,000. debt (from 1998) with Citi Corp Diners, from my divorce. After 10 years of silence, the debt was bought by Assec Acceptance LLC in Michigan. They have been sending me mail with settlement offers. They are good but I am hurting financially. Strangely enough, I haven't seen them file anything in my credit report with Equifax. I have re-established my credit after my divorce. What can they do to me? Can they file a lien or come and take away my paid off car? What are their rights after so long?
Thank you so much in advance

After 10 years, the statute of limitations has probably run and you do not owe the debt. See www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com
