Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Auto Glass person breaks glass but will not completely clean up

An auto glass repair man shattered the glass he was supposed to repair/replace. He vaccumed the majority of the glass but still left a lot of broken glass in the vehicle and says its not his responsibility to clean up all the glass. I have kids that have to go back in forth to school in this van. Should he be held responsible for returning the vehicle to the state it was in before he started to work on it? What should I do if my family is injured by the broken glass?

Re: Auto Glass person breaks glass but will not completely clean up

If he will nopt clean up the glass, you need to. It is not worth the court's time to sue to clean up glass. If someone is hurt, he will bear some responsibility for the injury; however, since you know that the glass is there, if you do not clean it up, you can also be held responsible.
