Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Automobile leasing laws
I leased a new car for my daughter due to her inability to do so because of bad credit. The title was in my name only. My daughter had complete use of it. I have my own car. The dealership knew of these facts. Is this a legal transaction in the State of Florida? I have since heard of the ''straw Purchase'' being illegal.

Re: Automobile leasing laws
I do not know of any law that says you cannot purchase a car for another. However, keep in mind that you are responsible for the use of the car and the lease. You better have insurance and make her the principle driver under the policy.
