Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Back in July, I purchased something for over $2000. and paid by check. I was told it would take 10 days for the check to clear. About 3 weeks later, I contacted the business and they told me the reason for the delay was that it had just cleared and they'd get my product to me. I've tried to contact them since and the owner has now admitted to mistakes but asked for me to wait until the end of September. I told them I couldn't wait any longer and wanted a refund. Since then, I've gotten an email from a supposed "friend" of the business owner, saying that there's an illness and they're unavailable right now. What recourse do I have......what can I do to get my money back? I'm a 73 year old woman and I feel as though they're going to get the best of me.
