Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Bank account garnishments, Florida
Can a collections company garnishes a account that is in joint names if the judgement was for the husband only? And if the only income on that account is form the husbands SS disablity insurance? The collection comapny has locked up our account and waits me to prove the money ony comes for disablity when from the very start of the lawsuit in all of there questions about imployment it has always been stated I recived disablity income only. And my wife was not part of the judgement form the credit card company.

No.
And the collections company cannot "lock up" your account. The bank can do that, but you can get that fixed by contacting them.
