Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Billing Issue
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding a disputed charge of $80.95 with a lawn service. We tried contacting the company to no avail & the next thing I know they sent me to collections. They are adding interest charges to the original charge & the bill is now $86.16. Can they add interest to a bill that is in dispute? Do I have any recourse in this situation?

Re: Billing Issue
Yes, they can add interest. The question is what you owe them. If you owed them what is in dispute, then you owe them interest as well because you have not paid timely. I'd really need to know more about the dispute.
