Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
boat kidnapping
took boat in for repair/motor rebuild. Owner of shop wanted to trade mako for our cuddy. We owe $400, to be paid upon delivery of mako. Approxamately 9 months later no boat(s) seem to be around and seems to be evading us..What's our legal action.

Is there anything in writing to prove your contract? If not, you may have a problem proving what "the deal" was. At a minimum, you should go and find out if your boat is still around. If it is not, you are entitled to receive its value from the shop owner. If it is still there, get it back.
