Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Bought a used car, cash, no financing for 14000. As is sale with 30 day engine and transmission warranty. 4 days after the purchse, the car would not start at all.
Called dealer they towed the car to their mechanic and said it was fixed but every morning since then the catr will not start unless my husband giggles some part in the engine.
My question is this. Does the statement AS IS prevent you form being able to request refund for the car. We buy a car with the belief that the car will work.

"AS IS" means unless there are implied warranties, you are stuck. See if the manufacuture has a warranty on the vehicle for the problem in question. Usually it is related to so many miles vs time (5 years etc.). Also, it the car dealer took the car back to fix it without charge, take it again.
Short of that, one would need to examine the paper work on the sale of the car.
