Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
bought car on ebay instrument panel was tampered with

Car bought through Ebay in FL to be delivered in CA had instrument panel check engine light disconnected (illegal). CA requires the light to be functional. When it was reconnected it stays on constantly. (Unknown problem therefore it will not pass smog test) Seller stated that car had excellent maintenance records which I never saw.
Is there anything you can recommend? Is it fraud?

(1) Is your seller a dealer or a person? (2) What was the amount of the purchase? (3) What remedy would you like? recision or reimbursement. (4)Additional research would be required, because effective October 2001, the laws relating to dealerships and deceptive and unfair trade practices was amended.
