Bought car from father and wants to repo after I paid most of it off.
I bought a car from my step father a few years ago. The car was sold to me for 6,500. I have paid him 5,800 so far and got behind 3 months on my payments. I owe $800 for the car and he wants to reposess it now and doesn't plan on giving me any money back. What can I do?

This is a good reson why people should avoid business deals with family. Did you have a contract? Who's name is the title in? I hope when you bought the car you had the title transfered to your name. Whether your step father can reposses the car and whether he would owe you any money back if he did would depend on your agreement with him.
