Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

buyer/seller protection

I had a washer listed for sale on Craigslist with the discription stating it had been in storage for 2 years in Atlanta, GA. The buyer has now contacted me stating that he wants to return the washer to me due to it having a leakage problem (he purchased it in GA for $140). Since the listing stated it was in storage for 2 years, unused, how responsible am I since it worked the last time I used it? I offered to send him $40 for new hoses, but he declined stating he wants a full refund. At the time of purchase he asked me if it worked and I told him the last time I used it, which was 2 years ago, it did. We plugged in the electrical components and they worked. However, there was no way to check it's ''water'' working condition since it was in storage. Thank you for your quick response, Ashley

Re: buyer/seller protection

sounds like he is out of luck, although it would have been best if you had losted the item "as is." That would have protected you a bit better.
