I'm getting calls from debt collector and they issued summons on my son who no longer lives with me. Should I contact them to inform this debt is time barred and to stop contacting me? (Florida SOL last activity 4/2010h

The debt collector may have violated federal and state law in contacting you about your son's debt. I would suggest you send a cease and desist letter to the debt collector. They will violate it and you now have a claim and a bargaining tool re the debt. Just because 5 years has gone by does not necessarily mean the s/l has passed. You need to read the agreement. Contact a consumer lawyer in your area. Go to the National Association of Consumer Advocates' website for an attorney in your area.
