Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
Can I cancel a contract with a collection agency in Florida for hiring then to collect on a judgment debt. I cancelled within 1 hour of sending in the contract and being told there was up front fees..
They now want up front money after signing a contingency contract with them and the agent wants the money for giving me a rapid response to my claim..

Depends upon what your contract says. Always important to read before you sign.

I agree with Mr. Wagner. If the "collection agency" is really a law firm then contingency contracts in Florida usually have a 3 day revocation period in you statement of client rights. Get the full contract and see an attorney to give you an opinion.
