Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
We canceled a contact this morning that was signed on Saturday for the purchase of a mobile home. We put a stop payment on a check dated today (Monday). We notified the Agent at 8:15 this am that we were canceling. The Broker said that we cannot cancel a contract that it refers to condos and it is a criminal offense to stop payment on a check and they will be taking legal action.
Is it true that the 3 day rule does not apply to contracts?
