Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Cancelling a contract

I signed a contract and paid $100 deposit for a hottub less than 24 hours ago. I have changed my mind and would like to know if I have the right to cancel the contract and be refunded my deposit. The product is in stock and was not ordered.

No, a contract is a legally binding agreement between both parties and cannot be cancelled once it has been agreed upon and signed by both parties. You may be able to negotiate a release with the business by forfeiting your deposit but there is no guarantee.

Re: Cancelling a contract

Unless the sale was made at your home, then you have no right to cancel the contract unless it is specifically referenced in the contract that you did sign. Go out and see the store people where you bought the spa -- they may, but probably do not have to, give you a break.
